Conveyor chains

As the name implies, a conveyor chain is used to transport material. Carriers and attachment points are mounted on the chain that allow for the transport of materials or the connection of conveying containers. The design of such connections generally depends on the tasks. There are standard connections (for example standardized mounting brackets) but often the standard does not fit the task. For that reason there are countless variations of conveyor chains with new ones added every day.

Solid pin bush conveyor chains according to DIN 8165 (FV-type) and DIN 8167 (M-type)

Bush conveyor chains according to German Standards have, in contrast to drive chains, rather long chain links or chain pitches respectively. This allows for mounting brackets on which brackets or plates, adjusted to the material to be transported, may be fitted. In many cases these chains feature plain rollers according to DIN 8166 or DIN 6168, in order to reduce friction between chain and chain guide.

Tip: The amount of variations of chain type x chain pitch x roller type is so extensive that the chain required for your purpose may possibly not be on stock and needs to be produced. If such chain is needed, please contact us in sufficient time prior to requirement date.

Bush conveyor chain in special design

Usually the most economic way is for a chain to fit the circumstances and not vice versa. A special chain may be temperature and corrosion resistant, high-strength and low-maintenance or feature specific dimensions. The requirement for special chains generally increases to the extent that manual work decreases in the working environment and the demand for quality grows.

Hollow pin chains according to DIN 8168

The pin bores of hollow pin chains are used as attachment points for screws and carrier rods. This chain is also available with or without plain rollers. These chains are usually used in double-strand. This double strand consists of a chain running on both sides of the conveying elements. Upon request we supply chains pre-stretched and bundled in pairs (left + right) in strands of equal length.

Deep plate conveyor chains acc. to DIN 8165 and DIN 8167

This type of conveyor chain features rollers and raised link plates. General cargo or transport containers, to be transported by the chain, can be placed on the link plates.

Through conveyor chains according to DIN 8165 and 8167

Generally through conveyor chains run in a moulded channel and are used for the transport of bulk cargo. They feature laterally welded on or bent up carriers to push the material to be conveyed before them.
